Chestnut Tree Day Nursery is a family run medium sized children’s nursery which has been operating by the current owners since 2004. We are registered for 60 children daily. The nursery is ideally situated for commuters and has local parking. The main A2/M2 roads into and out of London are nearby and local main line train stations are at Belvedere, Erith and Bexlyheath. The nursery is also located on main bus routes with a bus stop outside the nursery.
The nursery is inspected and registered by Ofsted on a regular basis. In our latest Ofsted inspection we received a Good Grading In All Areas.
We manage our nursery with the families best interests at the centre of everything we do. We aim to provide a fun filled day or session that creates learning opportunities for your child to grow and develop with individuality and confidence, working together with their parents and families to enhance their future well-being and life skills.

WELLBEING AND DEVELOPMENT
We aim to personalise your child’s care as much as possible within staff ratios. All children are valued and respected as individuals.
We welcome parental/family input, and are always open to suggestions, ideas, constructive criticism and praise.
SAFEGUARDING
At Chestnut Tree we take our duties of safeguarding very seriously. This means we uphold both the welfare requirements as set out in the statutory framework to the Early Years Foundation Stage as well as the legal requirements that are stipulated in The Children Act 1989 and 2004 and The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. We follow the local area guidelines set out by our local authority.
SAFETY FIRST
The nursery has been designed to the highest standards in safety and security, offering an authorised facial recognition door entry system and cctv monitoring, while still retaining a homely, caring environment in which each individual child is encouraged to develop and thrive socially and intellectually.
BABYSDAYS APP INFORMATION
We use an app for smart phones or computers called Babysdays. Here we record your child’s development, following our confidentiality policy and procedure, as well as all the information you need to know for example how long have they slept, or what they have eaten. It means we can communicate with you instantly as well as enabling you to have access to policies and other documents.
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is incorporated into our daily routine to ensure your child experiences learning opportunities to maximise their development through playing, exploring, physical activities, both indoors and outdoors, creative activities, IT, local walks and community visits, story times, fun events and charity fund raising.
